Frequently Asked Questions

We know this isn’t an easy decision — and it’s okay to have questions.
Here are some of the ones we hear most often. If there’s anything else you need, we’re always just a call or email away.

For Families and Providers

We don’t allow visitors inside the home, with limited exceptions made for case managers and sponsors. This policy helps us maintain the safety, privacy, and stability of the house.

That said, residents are not locked down. As long as they return by curfew, they’re free to visit with family off-site as much as they’d like. After 60 days, they can also become eligible for Phase 3, which allows for approved overnight visits.

Included: all utilities (water, electric, trash, WiFi), drug testing, furnishings, kitchen supplies, bedding, and towels.
Not included: food, hygiene products, bus passes, and outside lab fees (if needed for confirmatory testing).

No — we are a private-pay program. Insurance does not cover sober living.

Nope! We don’t charge move-in fees or application fees. A deposit may be required if we’re asked to hold a bed — but it’s not a true deposit, because it converts into program fees once the resident moves in.

If the resident doesn’t move in at the agreed-upon time, the deposit is forfeited.

As long as they need. Many residents stay for 6 to 12 months, but in general, outcomes are better the longer someone stays. We want residents to move forward when they’re ready — not just when the calendar says so.

About the Program & Support

No — we are not a treatment center. We’re a sober living program that offers structure, accountability, and peer support. That said, most of our residents are also working with outside therapists or treatment providers while they live here.

Yes — we require all residents to be actively involved in a legitimate recovery program of their choosing. Most attend AA, NA, or Celebrate Recovery, but they’re not limited to those. What matters is that they’re consistently showing up and engaging in a real recovery path.

Yes — we accept residents who are on prescribed MAT such as Suboxone, Vivitrol, or Methadone. We do require that it be prescribed and monitored by a medical provider.

We take relapse seriously, but we also approach it with compassion. A recurrence of use (formerly called “relapse”) doesn’t mean someone is beyond help — but it does mean they need a higher level of support.

In line with FARR standards, any resident who uses substances must leave the home for at least 24 hours. What happens next is handled on a case-by-case basis. Some residents return after detox or additional treatment, while others may transition elsewhere.

If a resident is asked to leave, we make every effort to ensure they’re safe — and we notify their emergency contact as soon as we become aware of the situation.

Yes — once someone is settled, we expect them to live a productive life of their choice. That can mean work, school, volunteering, or treatment. We offer a supportive space to get back on track.

Absolutely — that’s actually our most common referral. Many of our residents come directly from inpatient treatment. Sober living can be the perfect bridge between treatment and long-term independence.

Getting Started

The easiest way is to fill out our short online application. Once we receive it, we’ll reach out to talk through the next steps, answer any questions, and make sure it’s a good fit.

We’ll call you to get to you, walk through expectations, and talk about move-in timing. You or your loved one is always welcome to call us as well.

Yes — we often hold beds for individuals who are in treatment, detox, or jail and have a planned release date. As long as they meet our criteria, we’re happy to coordinate the next steps.

It depends on bed availability, but we do our best to move quickly when it’s a good fit. Sometimes you can move in within a few hours, and sometimes there’s a short waitlist. It really does change from day-to-day so it’s always worth checking.

Someone who’s ready to take their recovery seriously and live in a shared, structured environment. You don’t have to have everything figured out — you just need to be willing to show up, be respectful, and keep moving forward.

Yes. Recovery isn’t always linear, and we believe in second chances. If someone was previously discharged, they’re welcome to reapply when they’re in a better place — we review each situation individually.

About the Living Environment

Yes — all of our homes are located in safe residential neighborhoods and are designed to feel warm, comfortable, and clean. We take a lot of pride in maintaining the properties, and each one is fully furnished with furniture, spacious common areas, and a calm, homey feel.

Our homes have between 8 and 12 residents, and the amount is always proportionate to the size of the home. We never overcrowd. Everyone has their own personal space, and there’s enough room to relax, heal, and build connection without feeling crammed.

Right now, all of our homes are classified as sober living for men. We do not offer any beds for women.

Each home has a live-in house manager and regular oversight from our leadership team. We also have systems in place for drug testing, curfew, recovery plans, house meetings, and more.

We have a structured weekly rhythm that includes curfews, required recovery meetings, random drug testing, house chores, and accountability check-ins. The goal is to provide just enough structure to support recovery, without being controlling.

We’re really intentional about who moves in. Every resident goes through a screening process, and we look for people who are truly committed to their recovery. We also assess for safety and do our best to make sure each person is in the right level of care.

Our homes are built around mutual respect, peer accountability, and a recovery-first culture.
